Stop
Losing Money From Your Website
Are
you one of the many Internet Marketers
(and I include niche-product sellers
in this) who is losing money from
your website because you are not
making the best use of all its potential
sales areas?
When
you get a visitor to your site,
your primary goal is to get their
email address. Make sure you have
a system to ensure that when they
give their email address they are
aware you will be contacting them
again. In other words, the first
email you send them must ask them
to opt-in to your list. If you use
a reliable autoresponder service
such as AWeber this is done automatically
for you. Once you have that email
address you can contact your visitor
over and over again, thereby increasing
the possibility they will buy something
from you or join your membership
or whatever you are promoting.
And
once they have agreed to be on your
list make sure you give them plenty
of opportunities to buy something
from you.
So,
Let's get to the nitty gritty and
I'll show you 12 more places where
you can advertise something which
will either make you more money
or build your list.
1.
Error Pages: you've seen them. You
try to access a site and you get
a 'Page Not Found' or 'You don't
have permission to view this page'
message. Contact your web server
and find out how you can set up
your own error pages to:

to your affilate product link to
a page selling your own product
link to a page collecting email
addresses link to a page offering
a One Time Offer link to a page
giving away a free ebook or report
(in exchange for an email address)

Thank You Page: Whenever someone
buys from you they have their credit
card out or Paypal details ready.
They are in buying mode. After they
have paid for your product, re-direct
them to your sales page for another
product to make even more money.

Alternatively place an ad for a
related product or affiliate program
on the 'Thank-You' page, ABOVE the
download link for the product they
have just bought. This guarantees
they see your sales message before
they can download their product.
3.
Newsletter sign up. Once someone
has used your autoresponder webform
to sign up for your ezine, have
the autoresponder direct him or
her to one of your new sales pages,
or an affiliate sales page.
4.
Newsletter Unsubscribe: Again, use
your autoresponder to re-direct
your unsubscribers to your sales
page. Put a message on the top saying
something like "Sorry you're
leaving but before you go please
let me give you something of tremendous
value", such as an ebook in
which you have inserted a link or
two back to one of your products
or services.
5.
Leaving your Website: use an Exit
Pop Up with your new sales page
or email capture form.
6.
This Month's Special Offer: Put
a link to your new sales page or
affiliate sales page on your website
as a monthly or weekly special offer.
7.
Free Downloads: If you offer anything
for free, re-direct your subscriber
to your new sales page before giving
them the link to download. Put the
link to the download at the bottom
of the sales page. This might also
be a One Time Offer.
8.
When you do give them a link to
your download page put some products
they can buy at the top of the page.
9.
Affiliate Promotions: After you
have successfully sold an affiliate
product, re-direct your buyers to
your new sales page. Or offer all
the products listed on your new
sales page as a discounted bonus.
10.
Membership Site sign up: After someone
has joined and paid have them re-directed
to your new sales page.
11.
Emails. Whenever you send out an
email to your list give them a link
to a new product (or the same product
several times).
12.
Bonuses. Whether you are giving
something away or selling something,
once your visitor receives the product
ensure you have a bonus file included
in their download. Inside the bonus
file put a 'read me' file explaining
that you have some unadvertised
bonuses and how they can use them
- also direct them to another sales
page on your site. Try to include
some free ebooks in which you have
inserted links to your affiliate
programs or sales pages and tell
them to feel free to give these
away.
I
hope I've alerted you to some new
sales spaces you have been ignoring
and that you will begin to monetize
as many of these areas as you can.
